BRYAN
LANGAN
TENNESSEE SENATE DISTRICT 7
Twenty-six years ago I moved to Knoxville to get my degree from the University of Tennessee. This is where I met my wife and where our daughter was born. This city and this state mean a lot to me, and I believe we deserve better from our legislators.
I’m running because for the past 15 years while they’ve held all three branches of our state government, instead of working to make life more affordable, the policies of the Tennessee GOP have made life more difficult for the people of Tennessee. Under their leadership our healthcare costs are higher, and we have fewer hospitals to serve our communities. The cost of basic utilities like water and electricity are skyrocketing. Housing costs have gone through the roof. Wages haven’t kept up and job growth has come to a screeching halt, making the purchase of a home nearly impossible for many hardworking Tennesseans. All of this while also managing to sell out our land and waterways to be destroyed and polluted by the highest bidders.
Tennessee Belongs to the People!
Our legislature should be focusing on the issues that improve the lives of Tennesseans instead of the divisive and oppressive politics of our current supermajority. My focus will be on delivering tangible benefits for Tennesseans. For too long the Tennessee Legislature has sold out the people of Tennessee to the corporations, billionaires and special interest groups that have come here to pillage our resources and underpay our workers. This November we can send a message to Nashville reminding them that they work for us. These are our rights. This is our labor, and these are our resources they continuously vote to undermine for the benefit of their donor class. Tennessee doesn’t belong to the billionaires, the corporations or the special interest groups and lobbyists that the Tennessee GOP works so hard for.
When elected, I will work to defend the rights of all Tennesseans, make Tennessee more affordable and ensure future generations have access to the natural beauty of our state.
I hope you will join me. Together we can send a message to Nashville and let them know loud and clear...
This is Our Tennessee!
